High-footfall washrooms should never carry the same finish on the floor as the wall. Keep the floor strictly anti-skid, even where the brief wants a polished look elsewhere in the space. A slip in a public washroom is a liability, not only a maintenance issue. Darker grout on a light tile hides daily wear far better than white grout does.

Built for public use

Specify by usage zone rather than by look alone: a wet area right at the entrance wears differently from a run of cubicles further in. Where budget allows, run the wall tile floor to ceiling. It is the cheapest way to make a public washroom read as maintained rather than merely clean.
